Overview
As Senior Color Imaging Specialist for a specialty retail brand, I developed seasonal digital swatch libraries that ensured accurate and consistent color representation across e-commerce photography, marketing assets, and print catalogs.
Working closely with merchandising, design, and photography teams, I transformed physical fabric samples into standardized digital swatches that became the approved color reference for each seasonal collection.
Print catalog proofs annotated with seasonal colorways to verify every featured product matched the approved seasonal swatch library prior to production.
The Challenge
Seasonal colorway variations required consistent digital color standards to ensure accurate representation across the product line.
As seasonal collections expanded, maintaining consistent color across thousands of product images became increasingly complex. Without standardized digital swatches, teams faced inconsistent color, duplicate work, version control issues, additional revisions, and production bottlenecks that impacted both efficiency and the customer experience.
The Goal
My goal was to develop a scalable color management system that would:
Standardize seasonal digital swatches
Ensure consistent color across product imagery
Streamline production workflows
Simplify colorway management
Reduce revisions and production errors
Scale efficiently as seasonal collections expanded
The Solution
Physical fabric samples were matched using Pantone Connect to establish accurate digital color references for each seasonal collection.
Using Pantone Connect to identify and validate Pantone color matches for each seasonal colorway:
I created master digital swatch libraries for every season which became my Seasonal Swatch Standards.
Ensured consistent color reproduction across e-commerce photography and marketing assets.
Organized swatches for easy access by creative and production teams.
Collaborated with merchandising and design to maintain color accuracy from concept through final production.
